Everything you need to know about adjusting your monthly payment date to your schedule.
1. Basic information
What does the option to change the payment date entail?
With this feature, you can adjust the due date of your monthly loan to a day that suits you better – without changing the loan amount, term, or other conditions. For example, if you have a new payday, you can align your payment date accordingly, so you don't miss any payments.
Who can use this feature?
This feature is only available to B Secure and B Secure+ customers. Additionally, at the time of your application, you must have at least one active loan and no overdue payments.
Which dates can I choose?
You can choose any date between the 1st and the 27th of every month. The exact range depends on whether you have already made this month's payment:
- If you have not yet made this month's payment: you can choose from tomorrow up to and including the 27th. The change will take effect immediately after you confirm it in the same month.
- If you have already made this month's payment: you can choose any date between the 1st and the 27th. The change will take effect from next month.
Please note: Some dates may not be available if the change increases your interest rate. In that case, you must choose another date.
Do I need a PIN code or SMS verification to confirm the change?
No. No PIN code or SMS verification is required to change the payment date. You simply view an overview of your new schedule, check the consent box, and confirm with a click. Your confirmation is stored securely.
Note: If you use the separate process to restructure your loan (for example, to lower your monthly payment), a PIN code is required.
2. Frequently Asked Questions
I haven't paid this month yet. Can I change my due date to an earlier date in the same month?
Yes. The available date range always runs from tomorrow up to and including the 27th, regardless of whether the new date falls before or after your current payment date. The change applies to the invoice for the current month.
Example: Today is the 14th. Your current payment date is the 27th. You can choose any date from the 15th to the 27th.
I have already paid for this month. When does the new date take effect?
Because this month's payment has already been settled, the new date takes effect from next month. You can choose any date from the 1st to the 27th, regardless of the current date or your current payday.
Example: Your payment date is the 5th. Today is the 8th and you have already paid. You want to change to the 20th. The new date applies from next month.
Will my term, monthly payment, or principal change?
No. Changing the payment date is only an adjustment to the schedule. The term, the monthly amount, and the principal remain unchanged.
Note: Because interest accrues daily, bringing forward or delaying your payment date may have a small impact on the interest for that period.
How often can I change my monthly payment date?
There is a monthly limit for changing the payment date. After you have changed it 3 times, the option will no longer be available until the 1st of the following month. You will see a clear notification in the app when you have reached this limit.
3. Limitations and error messages
I have overdue payments. Can I still change my payment date?
No. The function to change the payment date is not available if you have overdue payments. You must first settle your outstanding balance.
The position is not available to me. Why is that?
This can have several reasons:
- You have overdue payments
- You have reached the monthly change limit (this is reset on the 1st of the following month)
- You have no active loans
I see a technical error. What should I do?
If a technical error occurs, the app will automatically try again. Please wait a moment and try again. If the error persists for longer than 30 minutes, please contact customer service and provide the date you wanted to set – we will resolve it as soon as possible.
4. Other questions
I recently restructured my loan. Can I still change my payment?
Yes, in most cases. The function to change the payment date can be used independently of restructuring. A common approach is to first resolve arrears through restructuring and then adjust the payment date to your pay date.
Why can't I set my payment date to the 28th, 29th, 30th, or 31st?
To ensure consistent scheduling across all months (including February and shorter months), payment dates are limited to the 1st through the 27th. This guarantees that the payment date is available every month.
