What happens if I have trouble paying back my loan?
We always remind you of the upcoming payment date by sending you messages. If you miss a payment, you will be notified the next day, and we will continue to do so periodically until you have paid.
If the payment date of your loan is not convenient for you and you have purchased our extra service B Secure, you can change your payment schedule yourself. Lowering your monthly payments for a longer period or temporarily pausing your payments is an option for our B Secure+ customers. In both cases, log in to Bondora.nl and go to “My account” to arrange this yourself.
If you have not purchased these products and would like to know more about them, you can do so here for B Secure and here for B Secure+.
If you are unable to repay the loan from Bondora, please contact us! We're here to help! Do you have more debts that you cannot pay off? Visit the government's website for help in resolving payment arrears or debts.
If you do not repay the debt even after repeated reminders and a delay of two months has arisen, we are obliged to report your payment arrears to the BKR. If you are three months in arrears, Bondora is forced to cancel your loan agreement(s) and call on the collection agency to collect the entire debt.
From the moment you are late in paying, default interest will be charged for each day that the payment is late. In addition, some notices of claims are subject to an additional fee in accordance with the laws of each country, which may vary from country to country.
See the fees page for more information.
