When is my debt information published in the Dutch Credit Register (BKR)?
A loan of more than €250 that lasts longer than one month must be registered with the BKR. We then share your personal data in combination with the data about the loan agreement with the BKR. If something happens during the term of the loan, this must also be recorded:
- You are in arrears with payments.
- You have caught up on your payment arrears.
- Other details, for example that your loan has been cancelled.
Payment arrears are registered if you have not yet paid 2 months after the date you should have paid. Payments you have made are allocated to the oldest overdue installment.
After you have repaid your loan, we will inform the BKR that your loan has been terminated. Your data will then remain with the BKR for another 5 years.
Make sure that you always check the total overdue amount in your personal environment at Bondora.nl before paying off your debt. This is to ensure that all overdue monthly payments and invoices for additional services are paid.
More information about registrations with the BKR can be found here.
